Kebeyo Chen was born in the 1980s. As an artist, she lives and works in Shanghai. Her works are involved with multiple kinds of media such as paintings and sculptures. Her unique charm, individuality, experience and consistent inspiration have helped her create artistic works with unique characteristics. She said: “What we always explore and strive to do in our lifetime is how to grow our inner selves while we live in the chaotic world.” In her eyes, this is the one and only life, and the world in a different form.
Kebeyo Chen used to exhibit her works in Florence Biennale Italy, Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai, held her personal art exhibitions in various regions several times, which attracted much attention from many famous media outlets and were reported by them. She has reorganized and reproduced the multi-dimensional spatial relation by re-examining life and using an artistic means. She has emphasized innovative means beyond painting and sculpture media, extended her exploration on possibilities of handicraft and furniture, made artistic creations full of boundary-breaking fascination and balanced the aesthetic tension between vision and sensation.
